This is by far the most popular milestone — and for good reason! Your little one is turning ONE, and that’s something to celebrate in a big (and sweet!) way.

 

Smash cake sessions are extra special because for many littles since it’s sometimes their first taste of something sweet. The giggles, the curiosity, and the messy, joyful expressions are absolutely priceless — and I’m here to capture it all!

 

This session is all about documenting just how much your baby has grown over the past year. Many families schedule their session a few weeks before the first birthday so they can use the images for party invitations or decorations.

 

I keep the setup minimal and timeless, with a clean white background and a few simple props like wooden toys and chairs. My goal is to keep the focus entirely on your babe — their personality, their curiosity, and every sweet little detail. Overly elaborate backdrops and props can distract from what really matters in these portraits: your child.

The session is split into two parts:

• First, we’ll capture sweet, classic portraits to show off your little one’s growing personality.

• Then, we’ll move into the fun and mess of the cake smash!

Please note: I do provide 3 cake stand options, HOWVER, for allergy and safety reasons, I do not provide the cake. If you do not have a bakery that you love, ask me about my recommendation!
